The flight lasts about 45 minutes over the Teotihuacan Valley, but the price covers more than your time in the air. Here’s what comes with the shared flight:

- A toast with wine after landing (juice for kids).

- Travel insurance.
- A buffet breakfast at a local restaurant.
- Parking at the balloon port.

Extra costs that aren’t included

- Lodging and professional photos or video, which aren’t included unless you add them.

Is the transportation package worth it?
The shared flight with transportation costs $800 MXN more per person than the one without. In exchange, you don’t have to drive before dawn or book a room nearby, which matters because check-in is at 5:30 a.m. and the public bus can’t get you there in time.
If you’d rather drive, the shared flight includes parking at the balloon port. For travelers without a car in Mexico City, the transportation package is usually the simplest choice.

How to book and what happens if it’s canceled

If Ruta Mágica cancels due to weather or operations, you can reschedule for free or get a 100% refund. The same applies if you cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice; with less notice, the reservations team reviews your case and a refund isn’t guaranteed.
